ACCESSIBILITY
Making Miniflora easier to use
Miniflora wants its website, information and services to be as accessible and straightforward as possible for parents, carers, students and organisations with different needs.
Last reviewed: September 2026
Our approach to accessibility
We aim to make Miniflora clear, simple and easy to navigate. We recognise that people may access information in different ways and may have different communication, sensory, cognitive, visual, hearing or physical access needs.
As Miniflora develops, we will continue reviewing the website and service to identify and reduce barriers where possible.
What we aim to provide
- clear headings and page structure
- readable text and good spacing
- plain-English information
- clear buttons and navigation
- meaningful link text
- text alternatives for important images where possible
- keyboard-friendly navigation where supported
- layouts that work across desktop, tablet and mobile
- sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds
- forms with clear labels and instructions
- information that does not rely only on colour
- minimal unnecessary animation or distracting effects
Tell us what would make it easier
If you need information or support in a different way, please tell us. We will try to make reasonable adjustments where we can.
You do not need to explain more about your disability or condition than is necessary for us to understand the adjustment you need.
- larger text
- simpler wording
- information broken into smaller steps
- extra time during a session
- written follow-up after a conversation
- email instead of telephone
- telephone instead of email
- support using forms
- information provided in another accessible format where reasonably possible
Accessible support, not just an accessible website
Accessibility also matters in the way Miniflora provides support. Family Navigation should not depend on someone being confident with complicated paperwork, long forms or professional language. Where possible, we aim to explain information clearly, work through tasks step by step and adapt communication to the parent or carer using the service.
Found something difficult to use?

Other websites and services
Miniflora may link or signpost to external websites, organisations or services. We do not control the accessibility of third-party websites, but we welcome feedback where an external service creates an access barrier for a family.
Known issues
Miniflora is still developing and the website has not yet undergone a full independent accessibility audit.
If we identify accessibility issues, we will aim to record and improve them as the service develops.
Known current issues: none currently recorded.
Keeping this under review
Miniflora will review accessibility as the website and service develop, particularly when new forms, tools, pages or digital services are introduced.
This accessibility page will be updated when significant changes are made.
