Miniflora exists because SEND families are often expected to manage an enormous amount of information, appointments, referrals, school communication and follow-up — while still getting on with everyday family life.
It can feel like a full-time job without a job description. The systems are complex, the waiting lists are long, and the mental load is often invisible.
We believe that while we can't always change the systems, we can change how families navigate them. We're here to provide the structure, organisation and clarity that makes the practical side of SEND family life just a little bit easier to carry.
Built by a SEND parent
Miniflora was built from a very specific kind of exhaustion. It started in a house with a dining table covered in paperwork, a phone with a never-ending list of unanswered callbacks, and a brain that was constantly trying to remember if a referral had actually been sent or just talked about.
As a parent navigating the SEND system, it became clear that while there is plenty of information out there, there is very little to help you manage the practical weight of it all. We are expected to be administrators, therapists, advocates, and experts—all while trying to keep the everyday magic of family life alive.
Miniflora was built to bridge that gap. To take the weight out of your head and put it somewhere safe. To help you see the wood for the trees. To give you back a little bit of the space you need to just be a family.
